What would we not hear in this our nigeria,so 27000 is now equal to 14 years in prison ok ooo anyway this student that happens to be a boy a boy oooo went and bought a stolen blackberry phone na their yawa come gas,he is a 25 years old and his name is Jerry Osaze,According to aNigerianBulletin report, the prosecutor, ASPMalik Taiwo, informed the court that Police investigation, following a May 13 report by Ms Ngozi Kalu of Arab Road, Abuja, at the Durumi Police Station that someone broke into her house and stole some household items and a blackberry cell phone, revealed the robbery suspect, one Zion Dansy, who sold the phone to Osaze.
Taiwo said the offence contravened section 317 of the Penal Code.
Jerry pleaded not-guilty to the charges, but stares a jail term of up to 14 years, with or without a fine, if convicted.
The Presiding Judge, Malam Umar Kagarko granted him bail set at N50,000 and a surety who must reside within the court's jurisdiction.
The case has been adjourned to June 19.
